Alex Farrar
Farrar 's practice concerns itself with the time and space afforded to artists and their management, investment and responsibility of these unsolicited areas. Within these spaces he makes work that is conscious of its context, whilst also expanding and engaging with what and who lies beyond it.
What is presented is often documentation or evidence of his movements and choices made within the vacuole available. Reflecting his current attitudes, often provoked by clichés and contradictions, these critiques ape its subject, purporting to the affected conventions that inspire in him contempt. Viciously sardonic of the complacent nature of contemporary art, he is at once its defense and accusatory voice.
In demystifying the artist and paradoxically alienating everyone, he wonders who he is making art for, but remains positive that it is still a constructive exercise.

Gareth Brew
We cannot be sure of anything, or at least I think we can't. To define is to secure one notion by that of another. The tethers by which we tie up our world are not fixed. The meaning of a word can shift. It is within this unstable bound that there is the possibility for play - contingency presenting us with the potential for transformation and leaving us unable to draw conclusions.

Joe Mawson
"Joe Mawson employs various processes in the production of photographic images that re-stage the contemporary world through a mediated process. The sometimes surreal images he produces explore his own position as an image maker, exploring notions of scale, tangibility and masculinity in the post industrial north of England.

Sarah Dee Barrett
"I investigate ways of operating that run counter to capitalist economic strategies. Previous work has included the renovation of a social club back yard into a homely domestic space, curation of a show where the works were traded for free, an archive encouraging DIY activity and objects made from ‘granny shopper’ bags.
Currently working with the aesthetic of all things 'budget,' and 'cheap,' in particular economy branding from around the world.
Through community and curatorial projects I aim to question the role/value of the artist in society, in particular in reaction to the trend to be 'socially engaged.' I wish to explore the relevance and accessibilty of art while trying to steer from the tendency to be overtly political."

No Fixed Abode
No Fixed Abode is the artist partnership Terry Slater and Horatio Eastwood. Central to our work is initiating dynamic relations between groups of people whose motive or ethos we see, in some way, aligning to ours. Much of our work involves direct communication towards unspecified outcomes; an endeavor which continually directs us as artists and circumnavigates typified modes of production. Our work aims to investigate the nuances of and the fissures within the hyper-expansion of what might be labeled community art. Through the initiation of temporary structures of communal production we are working towards mapping out a constellation of projects which intersect such issues as self organisation and resistance. Central to our work is the negotiation of our interpretations of home and the global, and the part that our built environment plays in our appropriation of these.
